Free My Little Pony invites

A few weeks ago, my oldest turned 5!  We haven’t ever done a “friend party” before and decided that since 5 is a milestone that we would do one for her this year.  Lillie decided that she would like to have a My Little Pony birthday party, so I got to work planning the party with Lillie’s help.  This week, I am going to show you the fun things that we did in case you ever want to do a party like this for yourself.  Today’s post is the My Little Pony Invitations that I made for Lillie.  I thought you might be interested in learning how to customize them for yourself using picmonkey.com, a free photo editing website.  (I am not getting compensated in any way for this post.  I just really like picmonkey and thought you might like to see how easy it is to use.)

To begin, upload the invitation template to picmonkey.com.  (It is sized to be a 5X7 FYI) The first thing you will do is add the number for whatever age your child is turning.  For us, we needed a 5.  Click on add text and choose the chunk five font.  It will show up black at first.  You can choose any color you want.  If you want it to match what I have going on, you will click the small grey rectangle in the text box on the left hand side of the screen.  A little dropper tool will show up and you can click anywhere on the screen.  If you point it to any color on the invite, it will change your 5 to be that color.  I put a big red circle around the box in the image below so that you can see what I am talking about.

After you have the 5 in the color and size that you want it to be, you will click add text again to add the rest of the words on the invite.  I used the RNS Camelia font for everything except for Lillie’s name.  For the name, I used the Budmo Jiggler font and then changed the color to be pink using the same method I used for the 5.

After that, you are done!  Save it and then you can either print it on your computer, or you can send it to any photo lab to print there.  I have it shown below with my watermark on it, you obviously wouldn’t have that on your invite.
