oreo dirt cups with flower spoons

This is an old idea that is perfect for the spring themed class party that we did for my daughter’s class. Making OREO dirt cups with cute flower spoons was so easy and the kids loved them! There was a little bit of prep beforehand, but nothing that is too tricky or time consuming. When the kids saw that we were using gummy worms and oreos, they were so excited! Who doesn’t love a yummy dirt cup?! 🙂

Spring treat

Since it was a spring themed party, we decided to use green spoons and turned them into flowers that were planted in the “dirt cups”. The prep for this is simple. All you need is green plastic spoons, a bunch of fake flowers, and a hot glue gun. I got the spoons from Zurchers, and the flowers were from Michaels. Pull the flowers off of the stems, clip the back of the flower so that it will lay flat, and then hot glue it to the top of the spoon.

Flower Spoons

Once you are ready to make the dirt cups with the kids, grab your oreos and a ziplock bag and smash them up. Open up the snack packs, put a couple of spoonfuls of “dirt” on top, add two gummy worms, and finish it off with a flower. It makes an adorable and delicious treat.
